During the opening of the exhibition Crescendo by Stephen Dean, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 6.30 p.m. in the bedside of the Basilica of Saint-Denis, Rue des Chantres performed sacred songs mainly from the antiphonary of the abbey of Saint-Denis copied between 1140 and 1150 under the impulse of Suger, abbot of Saint-Denis and eminent adviser of Kings Louis VI and Louis VII. The songs will evoke the scale of Jacob, the figures of Saint Denis and Dagobert. Stephen Dean's work, which will remain more than a year hung on the vault of Suger, consists of a ladder consisting of coloured glasses interlayered between the bars and reflecting the stained windows of the cathedral in many ways, depending on the course of the sun, multiplying reflections, patterns and colors. The opening will be followed by a cocktail. Entry only by invitation.
23/09/23 to 17h music conference at the Forney Library for the 60th anniversary of historic Paris
On Saturday, September 23, 2023, Rue des Chantres is invited by the association Historical Paris participate in the celebrations of its 60th anniversary. The ensemble will illustrate with excerpts from his repertoire a lecture by historian Catherine Chadefaud who will evoke the atmosphere of Paris, the Marais and Notre-Dame districts in the Middle Ages. Association Historical Paris (44-46 rue François Miron Paris 4th) is associated for this event with the Forney Library, one of the few remains of medieval civil architecture in Paris. The conference will therefore take place at the Bibliothèque Forney, 1 rue du Figuier Paris 4th, at 5pm. Free entry without reservation (subject to availability).

Sunday 24 September 2023 to 5 p.m. Rue des Chantres make the singing of cathedrals resonate under the first large Gothic vault of history, the vault of Abbé Suger. You will hear the new programme of the year 2023: Forbidden Fruits. Concert offered by the National Monuments Centre, only the entrance price of the museum is required.
