Christian Ploix

Christian Ploix received the awards of the Conservatory of Pantin and the Master's degree in Notre-Dame de Paris, where he discovered medieval music through the teaching of Sylvain Dieudonné. From then on, he regularly sang for the ensemble Venance Fortunat (dir. Anne-Marie Deschamps) and for the vocal ensemble of Notre-Dame de Paris, and became one of the pillars of the music of the cathedral. He then perfected with Katarina Livljanic, Benjamin Bagby and Raphaël Picazos. He is now one of the specialists of medieval improvisation in the multisacular tradition of the singers of cathedrals, which is worth participating in the creation « Boli Flight » at the Théâtre du Châtelet in 2020 and 2022. His medieval passion does not prevent him from singing classical, baroque or contemporary repertoires with the Cris de Paris, the Britten Choir, Texto as well as addressing as soloist the great oratorios such as Les Vespres de Monteverdi or Mozart's Requiem.
