Concert One Day in Reading Abbey in Cuenca (Spain) on 07/08/2025 Mirabilia Festival
« ... We had never attended a concert in the Cathedral with such an immersive and narrative approach. We had never been part of a history, feeling ourselves monks of this Benedictine abbey, and living such rich and significant moments, eyes and ears wide open. Today, sadly, this abbey is in ruins, but Rue des Chantres and Cristina Alís Raurich gave him life and splendor in time for a moment, and we, privileged spectators, were able to enjoy it for a short time. »

Concert Forbidden Fruits in Saint-Hilaire-la-Croix (Les Combrailles) on 20/07/2025 Terres Vibrantes Festival
The voices resonate in the Combrailles
The sixth edition of the Terres Vibrantes Festival started warmly with the whole Rue des Chantres in Saint-Hilaire-la-Croix within the majestic priory novel. A large and curious audience came to listen to the three voices performing transgressive Gregorian songs. On the program, many medieval songs composed between the Xth and the 13th centuries as antiennes, a sequence on the cephalophoria of Saint-Denis, and, in conclusion of the concert, Lugeamus Omnes, a text written in the famous Carmina Burana.
The audience went from laughter to wonder (and) to surprise during the evening.
As a reminder, the ensemble invited the audience to sing in choir, showing that medieval singing is much more accessible than it seems, and in line with the Terres Vibrantes Festival.

Concert In Mary's footsteps in Cuenca (Spain) on 16/08/2024 Mirabilia Festival
Continuing on the Marian theme, on August 16 at 9 pm in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit of the Cathedral of Cuenca, the French ensemble Rue des Chantres, composed of three eminent singers from Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, presented the program « In Mary's footsteps » tracing the episodes of the life of the Virgin in the 13th century Parisian repertoire of the Ars Antiqua. Since its foundation in 2019, all Rue des Chantres is specialized exclusively in the music of the Antiqua Ars and is currently the only ensemble entirely dedicated to this repertoire. Not only their voices were perfectly united in solid and well tuned consonances in Pythagorician intonation, rich in harmonics, but one of their members, Christian Ploix, a renowned improviser in the organum, a form of polyphonic improvisation of the thirteenth century, delighted us with its improvisations in the Gothic style, with such virtuosity that the spectators listened in total silence, holding almost their breath until the last cadence was resolved, triggering an explosion of applause that continued to sound. It was a complex and virtuoso program, interpreted at the highest level, all the more impressive when it is known that two of the members of the ensemble had been teachers of the medieval music course of the Mirabilia Academy, having behind them six days of intense work. But no signs of fatigue in their voices that resonated impeccably in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, even succeeding in blackmailing the audience in a Cantiga of Santa Maria during the bis, preceded and followed by long applause and standing ovation.
